What is your job?
I am an attorney in the Legal and Compliance Group. I help management navigate legal issues and risks, and solve problems.
What attracted you to accept a role at the New York Fed?
I served as outside counsel to the New York Fed while in private practice. I quickly realized that this would be a fascinating and rewarding place to practice law. When I heard about an in-house counsel job posting, I jumped at the chance to apply.
What have you found most surprising about working at the New York Fed?
How smart, kind, and devoted to the mission my colleagues are.
How have you advanced your career at the New York Fed?
By raising my hand for new assignments and trying to learn as much as I can. The better I understand our work, the more I’m able to successfully step into new challenges.
Favorite hobby or interest?
Having never played a team sport (but after watching my kids do it for years), I started playing pick-up soccer with a group in my neighborhood about 7 years ago, and discovered how incredibly fun it is. I’m not very good at it, but I keep coming back for a healthy serving of joy and humility.
Favorite food?
I love eclectic/creative vegetable dishes.
Favorite vacation spot?
Right now it’s Oaxaca, Mexico. Surf towns and archeological sites, plus incredible food. Mexico City is great too!
