On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in partnership with the NYU Furman Center, hosted a hybrid event on the development of affordable housing on land owned by faith-based organizations.
The event was of interest to leaders of faith-based organizations, capital providers, developers, and other key stakeholders. The discussion explored real-world examples of how faith-based organizations have partnered with developers of affordable rentals to expand the housing options in their neighborhoods.
This was the second event in a series exploring the role land-owning nonprofit institutions can play in developing affordable housing. The first, “Fostering Neighborhoods: Hospitals and the Development of Affordable Housing,” was held on March 7, 2024. The recording of that event is available on the event page.
See the agenda for timing of specific conference segments.
