NEW YORKâAs part of the Federal Reserve System’s effort to assess its monetary policy strategy, tools, and communication practices, the New York Fed will host a Fed Listens roundtable discussion on Monday, May 20, at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
This 2-hour session will be available to the public and the media via webcast. The agenda is available here. The webcast registration and additional information about the roundtable are available on the New York Fed’s Fed Listens webpage.
This event follows discussions with three of the New York Fed’s external Advisory Groups that all aim to solicit a wide range of perspectives from diverse stakeholders around issues related to the job market, inflation, and the transmission of monetary policy to the broader economy. Those Advisory Groups include the Advisory Council on Small Business and Agriculture, the Upstate New York Regional Advisory Board and the Community Advisory Group.
The capstone roundtable discussion on May 20 will bring views from additional constituents, including labor and non-profit leaders, local government officials and congressional district staff, and regional academics. Attendees will participate in a discussion with Richard H. Clarida, Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and John C. Williams, President and CEO of the New York Fed.
