On September 23-25, Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John C. Williams will hold a series of engagements with leaders in business, government, health care, community development, and education from New York's Greater Rochester region.
On Wednesday, September 23, President Williams will join a roundtable discussion via phone with members of Rochester's business community to hear about current economic conditions and the challenges they face amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Thursday, September 24, President Williams will speak with Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren about economic recovery efforts and the impact of the pandemic on the city's finances. He will then participate in a conference call with officials from the University of Rochester Medical Center to hear about how the region's health system has responded to COVID-19.
And on Friday, September 25, President Williams will join a conference call with members of nonprofit and philanthropic organizations to learn about how they are supporting social and neighborhood services in Rochester. Later in the day, he will take part in a videoconference coordinated by the University of Rochester's Warner School of Education to hear from college seniors, graduate students, and those considering career changes about their job prospects.
These meetings serve to inform President Williams on regional issues and are part of the New York Fed's ongoing efforts to assess economic conditions across the Federal Reserve's Second District.
