NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will release its Q1 2023 Household Debt and Credit Report on Monday, May 15 at 11:00 AM EDT.
The Household Debt and Credit Report offers an updated snapshot of trends in household borrowing and indebtedness, including data about mortgages, student loans, credit cards, and auto loans. The latest report captures consumer credit data as of the end of March 2023 and reveals an increase in aggregate household debt balances.
In conjunction with the report, the New York Fed will publish a Liberty Street Economics blog post examining the use of housing equity and mortgage refinancing as tools for funding consumer spending.
