NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York today announced the appointment of Gary Dake and Nicole Russo to the New York Fed’s Second District Advisory Council, effective immediately.
The Second District Advisory Council, which is comprised of senior business leaders, generally meets three times a year to provide the New York Fed President and New York Fed leadership with high-level insights about business and economic conditions in the Second District. Members of the Council serve three-year terms. The next meeting of the Council is scheduled for October 1, 2024.
Dake is president of Stewart’s Shops Corp., a family-owned convenience-store chain based in Saratoga Springs, New York. Dake is the third generation of his family to serve as president of the chain, where he has worked for over 35 years. The chain has 350 shops and more than 5,000 employees in New York and southern Vermont. Dake graduated from St. Lawrence University, where he majored in economics.
Russo is owner, president, and CEO of Microboard Processing, Inc., in Seymour, Connecticut. Microboard is an electronic manufacturing services firm specializing in circuit card assembly, system integration, and test services with clients in the medical, defense, aerospace, industrial, and telecom sectors. Russo has led the company for the last 20 years. From 1999 to 2005, Russo served in various structured finance roles at GE Capital. Those roles included strategic portfolio growth and integration activities and leading an international team in India.
