Anna Nordstrom is interim head of the Markets Group, and head of the Domestic and International Markets function at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
As the head of the Domestic and International Markets function, she is responsible for the implementation of domestic monetary policy operations as directed by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the execution of foreign exchange operations on behalf of the FOMC and the U.S. Treasury, and the execution of the Federal Reserve’s central bank liquidity swap lines. She also oversees the production of reference rates for U.S. money markets and analysis related to domestic and international policy developments.
Before joining the New York Fed in 2008, Nordstrom held positions at the European Central Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the Central Bank of Sweden (Sveriges Riksbank). She studied public administration at Umea University in Sweden.
