NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will launch US Economy in a Snapshot, a monthly report providing a quick and accessible look at developments in the economy. The US Economy in a Snapshot includes charts and commentary on overall economic activity, the labor market, household conditions, the business sector and various financial market metrics.
In addition, the Snapshot can include a “Special Topics” section to cover a range of issues such as the behavior of commodity prices, developments in the Second District or findings from the New York Fed Survey of Consumer Expectations.
The Snapshot will be posted the second Monday following the release of the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Employment Situation Summary. However, if that date falls during the week of a scheduled meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee, the Snapshot will be posted the following Monday.
