On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host a virtual event on health and the economy, featuring a conversation between New York Fed President John C. Williams and U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek H. Murthy. The discussion, moderated by New York Times reporter Emily Flitter, will cover the intersection of health and economics, national efforts to promote a healthy workforce, and lessons learned during the pandemic.
This event is presented by the New York Fed’s Community Development team, which has three areas of focus: health, household financial well-being, and climate risk.
This event is on the record and will be available via livestream. For media inquiries, please contact Ellen Simon at the New York Fed: ellen.simon@ny.frb.org.
