NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host its next regional economic press briefing on Thursday, November 10, at 11:00 a.m. EST.
The briefing will feature a presentation from New York Fed economists on current economic conditions across the Federal Reserve's Second District—which includes the New York City metropolitan area, upstate New York, northern New Jersey, southwestern Connecticut, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In addition to providing an update on the region’s recovery from the pandemic recession and assessing remaining job shortfalls, the presentation will focus on the performance of the region’s housing markets through the pandemic, including changes in home prices and affordability.
In conjunction with the event, the New York Fed will publish a Liberty Street Economics blog post which will provide a detailed look at housing conditions and trends in the Greater New York-Northern New Jersey region.
There will be an opportunity for members of the press to ask economists questions on the regional economy following the presentation. The event, which will take place via webinar, will be on the record and open to journalists and members of the public. Please see the event page for more information on the briefing and additional resources.
