NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host its next regional economic press briefing on Thursday, April 13, at 10:00 a.m. EDT.
The briefing will feature a discussion with New York Fed economists on upcoming Liberty Street Economics blog posts on the economic recovery in the Federal Reserve’s Second District since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, the discussion will focus on employment trends in the region, including the gains recorded since an initial sharp decline, the change in the employment landscape, and the current labor force shortage. The discussion will include New York City specific data to accompany coverage of northern New Jersey and southwestern Connecticut.
The briefing, which will take place via webinar, will be open to members of the press and on the record, with an opportunity for participants to ask the economists questions on the regional economy. Please see the press briefing page for more information and additional resources.
