NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York today announced the appointment of three new members to its Advisory Council on Small Business and Agriculture. The council, which is composed of local small business leaders, helps the New York Fed better understand the regional economy and business climate.
The council meets three times a year with the New York Fed president and staff. During each meeting, council members share their insight on business activity, the economic outlook, the labor market, and other issues affecting business conditions. This information also allows the New York Fed to identify challenges and opportunities in the region, and contributes to the formulation of monetary policy.
The following is a list of new council members:
- Adenah Bayoh, Co-founder of Kapwood, LLC., Irvington, NJ
- Charles Feit, Founder and CEO of OnForce Solar, Bronx, NY
- Ranjini Poddar, Founder and CEO of Artech Information System, Morristown, NJ
