A conference jointly sponsored by the European Commission, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Centre for Economic Policy Research.
Overview
The conference will bring together US and Europe-based policy makers, regulators, market analysts and academics. Conference participants will evaluate the prospects for sustainable economic growth and financial stability, and discuss challenges to transatlantic economic relations posed by the recent episodes of the economic crisis. The talks will be structured around three interactive panel sessions as follows:
- Session 1: Fiscal convergence, monetary divergence?
- Session 2: The appropriate policy response to secular stagnation risks
- Session 3: Towards an integrated Transatlantic financial market?

Attendance is by invitation only.
