Julie Remache

Julie Remache is Deputy Manager of the System Open Market Account (SOMA) and Head of Market and Portfolio Analysis at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

In this role, Remache works closely with the SOMA manager to implement monetary policy as directed by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).

As Head of Market and Portfolio Analysis within the Markets Group, Remache leads the teams responsible for market monitoring and analysis, and the production of analytical work that supports policy decisions related to monetary policy and financial stability, and the implementation of monetary policy.

Remache joined the New York Fed in 2000 and has more than 25 years of experience in financial markets and public policy. She is widely recognized for her expertise in monetary policy implementation and the role of the balance sheet as a policy instrument.

Remache holds bachelor's degrees in mathematics and economics and a master's degree in economics from Boston University.
