The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host the September meeting of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) with a discussion on the topic of financial regulation. Overview
The near-collapse of the world financial system in the Fall of 2008 and the global credit crisis that followed gave rise to a need for reform in the US financial regulatory system. The Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) will bring together a distinguished panel of speakers who will share their experiences and perspectives on themes such as measuring, monitoring and addressing systemic risk, enhancing transparency and disclosure and the regulation of hedge funds and OTC derivatives.
