The Public Information Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host a four-day seminar for Economics and Social Studies teachers. Federal Reserve specialists and Wall Street professionals will conduct briefings about the current economic situation and on-going issues related to monetary policy. Ultimately, seminar participants, playing the role of Federal Reserve governors and bank presidents, will conduct their own Federal Open Market Committee meeting, recommending a course for U.S. monetary policy.
Free materials will be distributed. Participants are eligible for New York City, State, and New Jersey staff development credits.
