Overview
The Fed in the 21st Century gives college professors a chance to hear presentations from Federal Reserve Bank of New York economists and senior staff and ask questions.
The first day focuses on Fed basics, including principles of monetary policy, creating economic forecasts, thinking about inflation and unemployment, and financial stability and systemic risk.
The second day is devoted to hot topics, in particular the ongoing response of the Federal Reserve to the recent financial market turmoil and recession.
Audience
Limited to professors who teach economics, finance or business at two- or four-year colleges and universities.
