New York Fed to Co-Host Conference on Post-Crisis Developments in Credit Use and Repair on September 19

NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will co-host “Assessing the Household Credit Recovery: Post-Crisis Developments in Credit Use and Credit Repair” on September 19 to discuss and examine emerging national and regional trends in consumer debt and access to credit. The event will be co-sponsored with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.

Conference speakers will share the latest research on trends in household lending, as well as strategies for how consumers can improve their balance sheets, repair credit, and gain access to mainstream financial products.

The conference will include the following panels and presentations:

  • Overview of Consumer Debt and Credit Distress
  • Emerging Research on Credit Use and Repair
  • Assessing the Credit Viability of New Jersey Households
  • Looking Forward: What Does This Mean for New Jersey and the Nation?
