New York Fed to Provide Detail on Community Credit Conditions
April 27, 2015
On May 4, The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will release a series of interactive maps that characterize the aggregated credit behavior of adult residents in counties across the U.S.  The Community Credit Profiles highlight how well each community is positioned to access credit.  The Profiles also provide an indication of the level of distress of its residents.

Users of the web utility will be able to assess the percentage of people on a county-by-county basis who have – and don’t have – access to some form of credit.  Additionally, the maps depict the percentage of quality borrowers located in each county.  These data run from the fourth quarter of 2005 to the end of 2014.

The utility will also illustrate the severity of credit stress based on four quarter payment histories of residents at both the state and county level.
