NEW YORK—Federal Reserve Bank of New York President William C. Dudley will travel to New York's Hudson Valley on October 11 and the Capital Region on October 12 to meet with leaders in business, education and government.
President Dudley will visit with students and faculty at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on October 11. He will then travel to Albany to meet with leaders in business and education on October 12. The two-day trip, which serves to inform President Dudley on local issues, is part of the Bank's ongoing effort to assess economic conditions in New York State and the broader Second District.
At West Point, President Dudley will meet with the leadership of the U.S. Military Academy before joining cadets for lunch in the mess hall. In the afternoon, he will participate in a discussion with cadets as part of an economics lecture and take part in a faculty roundtable.
The Albany portion of the trip will begin with a fireside chat with the Business Council of New York State. President Dudley will then meet with the leadership of the Empire State Development Corporation and the State University of New York, with which the New York Fed has a partnership to support students interested in entrepreneurial ventures. The two-day trip will conclude with a site visit to semiconductor manufacturer GlobalFoundries to discuss public-private partnerships and their effects on the local economy.
