NEW YORK—Federal Reserve Bank of New York President William C. Dudley will visit Syracuse, Ithaca and Rochester on September 25-26 to meet with local academic, government and business leaders.
On September 25, President Dudley will deliver remarks on workforce development at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse and will discuss the topic with local business and community leaders afterwards. He will then visit the Tech Garden, an organization that supports local technology startups. He will also meet with the Central New York Regional Economic Development Council on efforts to support regional economic growth.
From Syracuse, President Dudley will travel to Ithaca to meet with local government officials and leadership from the Cornell University College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. He will also visit Rev: Ithaca Startup Works to speak about the challenges and opportunities facing local startups and efforts to grow investment.
The final stop will be in Rochester on September 26, where President Dudley will participate in a roundtable breakfast with the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative. He will then visit a Rochester-based brewery to learn about regional workforce development needs. Afterwards he will learn about downtown Rochester’s revitalization and the importance of the photonics industry for the region. He will conclude his trip by meeting with the Upstate New York Regional Advisory Board to discuss issues affecting upstate New York’s business environment with leadership of large companies headquartered in the area.
