NEW YORKâThe Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host its next economic press briefing on Thursday, May 17, at 10:00 a.m. The briefing will examine trends in home prices, homeownership, housing wealth, and equity extraction.
Beverly Hirtle, executive vice president and director of Research, will provide opening remarks and will join a panel of New York Fed economists to answer questions after the presentation.
This event will be open to journalists to attend in-person. It will also be available via webcast for registered participants.

In conjunction with the press briefing, the New York Fed will release its Q1 2018 Household Debt and Credit Report. The report offers an updated snapshot of household trends in borrowing and indebtedness, including data about mortgages, student loans, credit cards and auto loans.
