The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will release its Q4 2021 Household Debt and Credit Report on Tuesday, February 8 at 11 AM EST.
The Household Debt and Credit Report offers an updated snapshot of household trends in borrowing and indebtedness, including data about mortgages, student loans, credit cards, and auto loans. The latest report captures consumer credit data as of the end of December 2021 and reveals an increase in aggregate household debt balances.
In conjunction with the report, the New York Fed will publish a Liberty Street Economics blog post on newly originated auto loans with a closer look at the growth in volume and average dollar amount of these loans in 2021.
