The Council, composed of executives and presidents from small businesses, including those which are agricultural-based, meets three times a year to advise the New York Fed president and first vice president on economic and financial conditions in the Second District.
"Members of the Advisory Council on Small Business and Agriculture provide us with valuable real time information on the current conditions faced by small businesses in our community," said William C. Dudley, president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. "Understanding the business environment helps inform the formulation of effective central bank policy. We are very thankful for the members’ participation.”
Council members serve three-year terms and meet with the Bank’s senior leadership three times per year. The Council last met on November 15, 2010, and is scheduled to meet next in March .
